If the world is changing, how could the educational system possibly
remain the same? This is the question that initiated the creation of Red-Line,
Alpha’s own ESports arena and an essential key to establishing the institution
as the innovative hub that it is.
Online gaming and ESports have been advancing at a rapid pace within the
last decade with the rise of streamers, online tournaments and E-Sports world
cups all point towards the fact that this is a rising industry and hence, a
gold mine of untapped earning potential. Currently valued at around 1.38
billion U.S. dollars, this empire was built by conducting next-level
championships for various games such as Valorant and Counter Strike, with a
million-dollar prize pool.
Red-Line was the revolutionary step taken in the direction of the
future. Built by Alpha in 2020, the year of change, the Red-Line project came
to be a dream come true, providing the students with the facilities they need
to headline the gaming revolution. Red-Line aims to craft the headliners of
virtual society because why stop at the physical world when the one online is
also up for grabs?
Red line was built to stay ahead of a curve and so Alpha pulled out all
the stops to establish this move as a groundbreaking one. Alpha went all out
and employed a coach for the purpose of nurturing potential in skilled
students. However Red-Line is more than just a place to acquire new skills, it
provides a source of entertainment and unwinding for the students to improve
their overall well-being and performance along with promoting student
interaction by creating an active gaming community of 2500 members.
Red-Line is a sparkling beacon for the gamers of Alpha, not only for
exploring their interests but also by allowing them to level up their playing
experience via providing top-tier facilities which include
gaming PCs built with AMD Ryzen 5 5600 coupled with Gigabyte’s B450m S2H
motherboard providing a seamless gaming experience. The gaming rigs are also
equipped with the AMD Radeon RX 6600 Series graphics cards and NVMe M.2 SSDs
enabling students to polish their skills and compete with professional esports players
from all around the world.
Red-Line has come far from the idea that it once was, now hosting and
winning tournaments. Some of the main highlights of Red-Line and a testament of
their growth were the national scale PUBG tournament, the FIFA tournament
which, with an amazing turnout, ended up being the biggest one of its kind in
Pakistan and the biggest Counterstrike tournament in Karachi, hosted in 2021
with more than 64 teams. Tournaments for games such as Fortnite, Tekken, and
Clash Royale also played their part in connecting modern sportsmanship and
structure with common recreational activities.
Alpha’s holistic education approach is an out of the box step taken in
the right direction, with extracurriculars unmatched in their student service.
To be an institution built for the students, provide them with the ideal
atmosphere to be the best as they navigate their place in
the world, making their own way, this is Alpha’s true aim and their greatest point of success.
